Q. How old to I have to be to hire a campervan from Suffolk Campers?
You have to be at least 21 years old and less than 75 years old and have held a full British or European driving licence for at least two years. Please contact if wanting to hire but you hold a non-EU driving licence.

Q. What documents do I need to provide?
We will need to see your driving licence, current passport and two recent utility bills (no more than 60 days old) as proof of address for all drivers. You will also need to provide a DVLA Licence Check Code in advance for all drivers. This is valid for 3 weeks and can be sourced here: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence. Please email the Licence Check Code at least 3 days in advance.

Q. Can I drive overseas?
Yes you can!

Q. How much is the security deposit?
(£500 25 Years+) (£750 23-24 Years) (£1000 21-22 Years) which covers the insurance excess. Assuming we do not have to make any deductions, you will get your security deposit back via bank transfer within seven working days of returning the vehicle.

Q. Are the campers automatic or manual drive?
Manual.

Q. Are pets allowed?
Yes if specified when booking. We have a van for fellow dog lovers.

Q. How many people does the van sleep?
The van will sleep 4 comfortably with 2 on the Rock n Roll bed and 2 in the pop top. If you are traveling with a small family then you could have 2 adults and 3 children with the smallest sleeping on the front seat hammock which we can provide. (It will be cosy!)

Q. Does the van have a toilet?
No.

Q. Is there an electric hook up?
Yes, which will also recharge your leisure battery when connected ready for your next wild camping adventure!

Q. How long does the leisure battery last?
It should last for three days depending on how many devices you plug in etc, however, it charges when the engine is running. The control panel shows you how much battery power you have left. The leisure battery will also charge when connected to a powered hook up.

Q. Can we bring bikes?
Yes, we can provide a high quality bike rack for £30 per hire. Alternatively if you have your own tow bar mounted bike then rack you can use it with our vans.

Q. Where can we leave our car?
You can leave your car here with us under our watchful eye on private land at the owners risk.

Q. Are our personal belongings covered on your insurance?
No we would always recommend taking out your own holiday insurance before going on your travels.

Q. Can you provide an awning?
We have drive away awnings available for £30 per hire.

Q. Do you provide bedding?
We provide luxury Duvalay memory foam sleeping bags! (A Dragons Den Success)
